All that imagining (and silently judging other people’s weddings) didn’t help me make decisions when it actually mattered. Instead, I found myself overwhelmed, second-guessing everything, and wondering how a single day could come with so much pressure.
 

I’ve spent years studying how people make decisions — and more importantly, how irrational we become when emotions, money, and expectations collide. And during my own wedding planning, I fell straight into many of the classic traps I’d learned about.
